Venice: Yasuda’s sculptures invite a tactile encounter with marble
In an update dated 26 October, Pietra Naturale Autentica highlights Kan Yasuda’s Isole del Silenzio exhibition at Venice’s Wilmotte Foundation. The installation includes ten marble sculptures and invites visitors to encounter the material through touch as well as sight.
For stone professionals, the approach prompts reflection on how materials are presented. Viewing a photograph and encountering a finished surface are different experiences: temperature, form and finish contribute to perception. This is editorial context about the relationship between people and stone. It does not describe the exhibition as newly opened or claim that the installation has generated measurable commercial results for the stone industry.
