Damavand travertine tender ends without an award
On 20 October, Bourse24 reported that Damavand Mining’s second tender to select an operator for the Azhdehatu travertine quarry and a cutting contractor for Qareh Gol ended without an award. The number of bids fell short of the required minimum.
Petrochemiha also reported the outcome on 21 October, distinguishing it from a separate lead-concentrate sale that did find a buyer.
The stone sector must now await the company’s next decision. This outcome does not establish new block availability or show that quarrying has stopped.
